What is The Forge?

The Forge is a one-night men's retreat built to help you experience life with Jesus and build real brotherhood. Steel becomes useful only after it is heated, hammered, and refined. God often shapes men the same way. Not by comfort, but through challenge, truth, and authentic brotherhood.

This is not a lecture weekend. The teaching is short and straight, then we talk. You will leave knowing who you are as a son of God, what you are made for, and who is walking with you now.

The Forge exists to help ordinary men become more devoted followers of Christ, stronger brothers, and faithful leaders in their homes, churches, workplaces, and communities.

What to expect

Four Conversations

Real biblical encouragement and challenge for men. Short messages that open into honest conversation, not a lecture.

Outdoor Challenges

Team competitions, adventure activities, and shared experiences designed to build trust, friendship, and authentic brotherhood. You will have the chance to select your top choices when you register.

Food and fire

Shared meals, long conversations around the fire, and the kind of brotherhood that's hard to build anywhere else.

Grab a bunk, or bring your gear and camp out.

Who it's for

Men 18 and up. Whether you have been following Jesus for decades or you're simply curious about who He is, you belong here. Come as you are. Bring a buddy.

The weekend at a glance

Friday: Check-in starts at 5pm, dinner, worship, opening forge fire with biblical message and conversation.

Saturday: Breakfast and lunch, biblical discussions, outdoor challenges, team competitions, honest conversations, and a closing Forge Fire commission before heading home Saturday evening.

The Forge is designed to be an intentional break from the noise of everyday life. Please keep phones put away except for emergencies so you can fully engage in the conversations, activities, and brotherhood that make this weekend unique.

Frequently asked questions

When and where is it?

Friday, Aug. 21 evening through Saturday, Aug. 22 at the 4-H Center. Check-in starts at 5pm Friday.

What does it cost, and what's included?

$68 per man, which covers lodging, meals, activities, and session materials.

What are the activities?

Options include archery, the gun range, rappelling, kayaking, fishing, zip line, and a low ropes course. You'll rank your top three at registration so we can get you into the ones you want.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Tell us at registration and we'll take care of you.

Do I need to be "religious" to come?

Nope. If you're curious, you're welcome. No pressure, no performance.

Who can come?

Any man 18 or older. Invite the guys in your life, this is a great one to bring a friend to.

Where will we sleep?

Your choice. There are bunks available, or you can camp out with your own equipment. You'll pick when you register.

What should I bring?

A packing list goes out to everyone who registers. Plan on clothes for the outdoors, toiletries, a Bible, and camping gear if you're camping.

Is this just a bunch of sermons and Bible study?

Not even close. Yes, there are four conversations, but the messages are short and lead into real conversation, not a lecture hall. The heart of the weekend is getting outside and having a blast: archery, the gun range, rappelling, kayaking, fishing, the zip line, campfires, great food, and time to hang with the guys. Come ready to have some fun.
