Awakening // Week 1
THE POWER OF PRAYER
The people of God are praying less.
TAKE PRAYER SERIOUSLY
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your prayers were heard; and I have come because of your prayers. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.” Daniel 10:12 - 13
Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come. But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth. No one upholds me against these, except Michael your prince.” Daniel 10:20 - 21
Jesus said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit.” Then he asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion, for we are many.” Mark 5:8 - 9
Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country. Mark 5:10
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
IN PRAYER!
DON’T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY
God did not design prayer to put a burden on you.
God designed prayer to take a burden off of you.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6
Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers. Ephesians 6:12a
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Colossians 2:9 - 10
