GOD IS THE AUTHOR OF THE STORY 

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.   Genesis 1:1 (NIV)  

By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. Hebrews 11:3 (NLT)

GOD CREATED ALL THINGS WITH PURPOSE AND IN ORDER 

YOU WERE MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD 

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.   Genesis 1:26 – 27 (NIV)

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE MADE IN GOD’S IMAGE?   

YOU ARE A SPIRITUAL BEING  

YOU ARE A CREATIVE BEING 

YOU ARE A RELATIONSHIP BEING 

YOU WERE MADE TO REFLECT HIM   

“Let us make mankind in our image.”    Genesis 1:26 (NIV)

JESUS WAS THERE FROM THE BEGINNING 

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.   John 1:1 - 3 (NIV) 

YOU WERE MADE FOR RELATIONSHIP  

The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. Genesis 2:15 (NLT)  

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.” 

Genesis 2:18a (NLT)  

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.   Philippians 1:6 (NIV)  

WHAT IS OUR RESPONSE? 

WE WORSHIP

WE LIVE WITH PURPOSE

WE REST IN HIS LOVE
