Letting go 

LET GO

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  Acts 1:8

Acts 1 - 7: The Jesus Movement spreads throughout Jerusalem. 1000’s are saved and the church is started.

Acts 8 - 12: The Good News of Jesus spreads into Judea and Samaria and for the first time the gospel is shared with a Gentile – Cornelius – and his entire household.

Acts 13 - 28: The followers of Jesus take His Good News to the ends of the earth.

LET GO 

Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again.    Acts 20:25

Now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified …. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”    Acts 20:32, 35

When Paul had finished speaking, he knelt down with all of them and prayed. They all wept as they embraced him and kissed him.    Acts 20:36 - 37     

Why are these his last words?

REMEMBER THE GRACE OF GOD

IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE (LET GO) THAN TO RECEIVE.

If you know you’re a sinner saved and rescued by grace, you will live a radically generous life. 

LET GO

For God so loved the world that He gave (LET GO) of his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.    John 3:16

Jesus LET GO of heaven because of YOU.
