You Can't Please Everyone

FOUR CHARACTERISTICS OF PEOPLE PLEASERS

• CRITICISM FEELS DEEPLY PERSONAL AND OVERWHELMING 

• REJECTION IS FEARED MORE THAN OBEDIENCE IS DESIRED 

• HONEST THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS STAY HIDDEN

• SAYING “NO” FEELS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE 

THE DANGERS OF PEOPLE PLEASING

PEOPLE PLEASING IS A FORM OF IDOLATRY

But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved human praise more than praise from God.    John 12:42b - 43 (NIV)

PEOPLE PLEASING TRAPS
