Amplify Day TWO:

“We tend to think that if we are following Jesus bad stuff won’t happen to us, but bad stuff happened to Jesus’ disciples.” - James Dick

Amplify Day TWO: Students started the morning off bright and early with a breakfast of biscuits and gravy. Afterward, Dylan Johnson, Bristol Student Coordinator, spoke on the topic of perfection. After a quick snack, the students met in their small groups.

For Session Three, James Dick, Bluefield Student Coordinator, focused on Matthew 14:26 which is the story of Jesus walking on water. He said, “We tend to think that if we are following Jesus bad stuff won’t happen to us, but bad stuff happened to Jesus’ disciples.” The point, "Everyone has a storm in their life." The question, "How are you either answering or ignoring God during those difficult times?"

After another snack, the students headed over to the gymnasium for REC. Then the students celebrated tropical night with another award ceremony. The students then had a time of worship.

Next, Mark Estepp talked about how “Prioritizing Jesus is deeply personal and dangerously public.” The message spoke to several students because twenty-four students made their faith public with spontaneous baptisms!
