Who Are You?

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?  As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.      

Romans 8:35 - 39

If you take away everything the world says you are, then “Who are you?”  

THIS IS WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE: 

You are a saint.

Now therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and the household of God.       Ephesians 2:19

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.         Ephesians 4:29

You are valuable. 

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.     1 Corinthians 6:19 - 20

You are never alone. 

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.   Deuteronomy 31:8

You are forgiven. 

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ  God forgave you.      Ephesians 4:32

You are gifted.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.      Ephesians 2:10

You are heard.

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.     Jeremiah 29:12 - 13

You are enough.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.   2 Corinthians 12:9 - 10
