Finding Our Way Back 

Smyrna 

To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and Last, who died and came to life again.      Revelation 2:8 

I know your afflictions and your poverty…   Revelation 2:9a

I know your affliction and your poverty - yet you are rich. Revelation 2:9b 

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days.      Revelation 2:10a

…stand firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.     1 Peter 5:9

We are part of something bigger as the Global Family of God. 

This church receives no correction from Jesus at all.

Since he has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.     Hebrews 2:18

He is with you.

He can help you. 

I know your afflictions and your poverty – yet  you are rich.   Revelation 2:9a

Even in the midst of our suffering, you can still be at your best when life is at its worst.  

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer... Revelation  2:10a 

Do not be afraid! 

Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.   Revelation 2:10b 

Do not fear.

Be faithful. 

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.    2 Corinthians 4:17

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt by the second death.      Revelation 2:11
