Finding Our Way Back // Week 5
SARDIS
“We stay because we still have the privilege of sharing the Gospel.” - Pastor Vasyl
What would it take for you to offer your life for the Gospel?
The Letter to the Sardis Church.
Write this letter to the angel of the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars: “I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive—but you are dead.” Revelation 3:1
SARDIS FAILED TO CHECK THEIR SPIRITUAL PULSE
Why is it important to check your spiritual pulse?
Check your spiritual pulse…so that you don’t die.
Check your spiritual pulse…so that you don’t sleepwalk through life.
You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. Hebrews 5:12 - 14
Check our spiritual pulse…so you can strengthen your spiritual life.
Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. Revelation 3:2
What would it take to make us more bold in our faith?
Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again. If you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief. Revelation 3:3
Go back to what you heard and believed at first; and hold to it firmly. To repent and turn to [Him] again. Revelation 3:3
Check our spiritual pulse…so that we do not lose the Lord’s blessing.
Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. Revelation 3:4 - 5
