PATH of PURPOSE

I Am Called to Be Loved.

You’re Called to Belong.

You’re Called to Become.

You’re Called to Serve.

You’re called to be Sent.

His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:5

“Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they’ve never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is what the Scripture means… “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring Good News!”

Romans 10:13 - 15

My fifth purpose in life: I’m sent to bring others into God’s family.

PEACE Plan

Through Christ, God made peace between us and himself. Then God gave us the work of bringing others into peace with him.    2 Corinthians 5:18

Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” John 20:21

The PEACE Plan is ordinary people - empowered by God - making a difference together - wherever they are!

“Ordinary people.”

“Empowered by God.”

“Making a difference together.”

“Wherever we are.”

“You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go… I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – Fruit that will last.”    John 15:16

“The greatest use of your life is to invest it in that which outlasts it.” - William James

Three Dimensions - Personal peace, local peace, and global peace.

A personal peace plan is my personal mission to the people in my life

Local peace is what we do in our community and small groups.

Global peace is our church’s mission to the whole world.

Five things Jesus did with His life

He planted a church.

He equipped servant leaders.

He assisted the poor.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he’s anointed me to preach Good News to the poor.”    Luke 4:18a

He cared for the sick.

He educated the next generation.

“Let the little children come to me. They are the kingdom of God.”      Matthew 19:14

Jesus is the antidote to the world’s biggest problems. It will all happen as I have planned. It will come about according to my purposes… I have a plan for the whole earth…

Isaiah 14:24, 26

The most important thing is that I complete my mission… the work that the Lord Jesus gave me – to tell people the Good News about God’s grace.     Acts 20:24

Pray - I pray that people will say yes to God.

Jesus said, ‘There are so many people to harvest but only a few workers to help harvest them. Pray to the Lord, who owns the harvest, that he will send out more workers to gather his harvest.”     Matthew 9:37 - 38

Give - Give to help others go.

Step out - I can step out in faith.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” And I said to the Lord, “Here am I, Lord. Send me!”    Isaiah 6:8

Go where I can now.
