Purpose:
Assist the “Grace of God Children’s Center” (GOGCC) in hosting the second PD Leadership Conference and Children’s Ministry Programs at their facility. Assist GOGCC staff and leaders from the leadership training and community volunteers in continuing an outreach project in Pokot, Kenya, offering medical and spiritual knowledge/assistance.
Scope:
- Teach the second level of PD material for the Leadership conference (first session).
- Provide one-day children’s ministry programs to three age specific groups (first session).
- Offer assistance/support to PD leader trainees and community volunteers in a medical/spiritual enlightening outreach, dealing with the message and demonstration of God’s love for all and respectfully and strategically tackling cultural customs that are detriment to personal health and well-being (second session).
- Witness God’s beautiful creation/wildlife during a Safari Trip (optional and dates TBA).
Preparation:
Be ready to witness explosive and energetic and strong expressions of praise/worship, dedication and hope from community participants of the conference and volunteers who have a union of heart and passion for being a part of this mission work. You will be around children who appreciate just about anything you offer to them. The language difference is one of the most challenging barriers with which you will gain the value and appreciation of God-led gifted individuals who are translators. You will witness extreme poverty in the Pokot area that will require scrutiny and flexibility in services offered. You will KNOW what an awesome God we serve!
