Day 2 - Pray Scripture

Have you ever prayed scripture? It is a powerful practice and simple to do. All you do is take words and phrases from the Bible and say them in your prayers. 

For instance if I wanted to pray Proverbs 15:4, “Gentle words bring life and health; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit,” I could pray, “Lord help me to use gentle words that bring life and health to those around me. Protect me from a deceitful tongue. Help me to have self control. I don’t want to crush anyone's spirit. Please guide me and help me to use my words to bring life.” 

Today, pray these 3 verses below over your marriage.

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. - 1 Peter 4:8

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. - Ephesians 4:29

Submit yourselves therefore to God. - James 4:7
